Last year I sailed around the South Pacific on a bucket-list adventure that had been planned for years. It was my first offshore sailing experience, and in my boat (S.V. Close Encounters) that I'd personally prepared. I gave it my all. We sailed Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia and met lots of beautiful people, with whole hearts in amazing communities. I love the work that Hands Across the Water does. My husband Terry and I have raised funds and I have ridden a numbe of times. It is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever undertaken. I also love sharing the experience with like minded people who also want to add to others lives.
