Our Commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Hands Across the Water proudly aligns its mission and impact with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through our homes, education programs, and social enterprises, we’re building a future that is safe, inclusive, and sustainable for children, families, and communities across Thailand.
We break cycles of poverty by providing safe homes, stable care, and pathways to education and employment for vulnerable children and families.
Each year, we provide over 190,000 nutritious meals and support sustainable farming projects that improve long-term food security.
From healthcare and dental care to emotional support and counselling, we ensure the children in our care can grow up healthy and happy.
We fund education from early learning through to university, creating opportunities that empower every child to build a life of choice, not chance.

We champion the rights of girls and women, providing safe spaces, education, and leadership opportunities across our homes and social enterprises.

All our homes and community centres provide access to clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene education for children and families.

We’ve installed solar power across our homes and continue to expand renewable energy initiatives, reducing both our environmental impact and long-term operating costs to create a more sustainable future.

We offer education opportunities to all, as well as an opportunity to complete university leading to potential job opportunities. We are also looking to open training centres and mentoring programs for all of our kids.

We invest in innovation through our Hospitality Training Centre, Agricultural Learning Centre, and Digital Learning Hub—building sustainable industries for the future.

We work with marginalised and at-risk youth, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has equal access to opportunity and support.

Our community centres and outreach programs build stronger, more connected communities that can sustain themselves over time.

We prioritise local sourcing, sustainable farming, and waste reduction to promote environmental and economic sustainability.

We embrace environmentally responsible practices, encourage conservation education, and integrate sustainability across our social enterprises.

In coastal communities like Khao Lak, we provide education and sustainable livelihood programs that protect both people and marine environments.

Through agricultural learning and reforestation initiatives, we promote sustainable land use and food production for our communities.

We operate with integrity, transparency, and strong governance to protect children’s rights and uphold the highest ethical standards.

Our impact is powered by collaboration—with corporate partners, communities, and individuals united in building brighter futures.
