I am raising money to support the children of Hands Across the Water because I believe that all children deserve to build a future full of possibilities, opportunities and dreams - a life of choice, not chance.

Hands Across the Water [Hands] started as a charity in response to the Boxing Day Tsunami. Now we support 350+ children living in 7 homes and projects across Thailand.

The kids who come to live in a Hands home are there because they have no choice. This is often the result of one of three heartbreaking situations:

  • They have no known family to care for them
  • They have a family member who is known to them, but is unable to care for them
  • They are living in an unsafe environment and have been placed in our care by the police or government

Hands not only provides the life-saving necessities for the kids in our homes, they also support many families in an outreach program to help keep kids out of our homes.

Just as important as filling their bellies with healthy food and providing a safe bed to sleep in, with the support of amazing donors like you, the vision of Hands is to help these kids see the opportunities that lie before them, to see a life of choice.

My hope is that you will make the choice to join me in this experience and help me reach my personal fundraising goal. Please make a donation today to support these children and provide them with a better future.

Together we can truly make a difference - Donate now!

Why Ride?

Thursday 28th Aug

In July 2026, I’ll be cycling 500 kilometers down the coast of Thaland from Hua Hin to Khao Lak. This journey isn’t just about kilometers or endurance. It’s not about personal glory or crossing a finish line. It’s about something far bigger than me. It’s about giving back. It’s about hope. It’s about them — the children whose lives were forever changed by one of the most devastating natural disasters in our lifetime and those that followed after.

On December 26, 2004, the world stood still as the Boxing Day tsunami swept through Southeast Asia, claiming over 230,000 lives and leaving unimaginable destruction in its wake. Among the most heartbreaking consequences were the thousands of children left orphaned and vulnerable. And while the headlines have faded, their stories haven’t. They still matter. They always have.

That’s why I’m riding — to raise funds and awareness for Hands Across the Water, an extraordinary organization that has been changing lives since the waves receded.

Many Hands, One Heart

Hands Across the Water was born from a place of compassion and action. What started as a response to crisis has grown into a powerful force for good — providing homes, education, and futures for children who had none. They don’t just give these kids a roof over their heads — they give them love, dignity, choices, and the tools to dream again.

This is not a charity that throws quick fixes at complex problems. It’s a community built on trust, on long-term commitment, and on the belief that every child deserves the right to a life of value and opportunity. Over the years, they’ve created safe homes, built schools, provided scholarships, and empowered young people to thrive on their own terms.

Why This Ride Matters

500 kilometers sounds like a lot — and it is. But it's nothing compared to what these kids have endured and overcome. Every hill I climb, every kilometer I cover, will be driven by the thought that we are making a tangible difference in their lives.

This ride is about showing up. It's about saying, "We see you. We haven’t forgotten." It’s about using our legs, our hearts, and our collective will to create real, lasting change.

I’m riding for the kids who lost everything, yet continue to rise with resilience and courage. I’m riding because we all have the power to help — not just with words, but with action. And I’m riding because I believe in a world where compassion fuels progress, and where we lift each other up, no matter the distance between us.

How You Can Help

I’m not doing this alone — and I can’t. I need your support.

Every dollar donated goes directly to Hands Across the Water projects — 100% of it. Whether it’s helping a child get an education, funding a safe home, or ensuring access to food and healthcare, your contribution has real, immediate impact.

So please — give what you can. Share the message. Cheer us on. Be part of this journey. Because together, we’re not just riding through Thailand — we’re building brighter futures, one pedal at a time.

Thank you for being part of this. With every turn of the wheels, we’re proving that love, when put into action, can move mountains.

Miles of Smiles
