Nickola and I have been training hard and will continue to train right up until we leave for Hands Across the Water and the Digital Live Ride.

This isn’t just a ride — it’s about making a real difference in the lives of children. We’re riding to give these kids a life of choice, not chance. ❤️

Training is progressing well

Friday 15th May

Nickola and I are catching up whenever possible to jump on the bike and do some kilometres to get these legs ready for an amazing journey to assist amazing kids in Thailand through the charity hands across the water we have an upcoming fundraising evening for a trivia night and every kilometre that I’m training I am donating to the fundraising.
Even though we are getting ready for some very cold few months ahead even though it’s very different to the Thai temperatures it’s all in preparation and we know that it’s okay to be uncomfortable when we know we’ve got such an epic task to perform

Trivia night has just been launched

Wednesday 6th May July 3 we are holding trivia night at Maryborough football club to help with our fundraising It is expected that between us we raise $15,000 We have already paid our own accommodation flights and all costs for the ride. Everything that we raise is going straight to the kids for their health education home and guidance with creating choice for their future. Share

Otway classic

Wednesday 6th May From now on, I will be having more updated training to share Nickola and I went to Torquay on the weekend and completed a 60 km ride The aim is to cycle every week until we leave however if the weather is absolutely shite House, I will be instead on a bike inside No point in getting sick Share

Back on the bike

Sunday 14th Dec After around six months of no riding due to shoulder injury at work and subsequent big surgery, I have got back on the bike as part of my rehab and started my training for Digital Live Ride 2026 what an amazing feeling To be able to feel freedom scenery and the muscles that I haven’t used for so long. And again this year I am donating to the charity one dollar per kilometre that I train this is extra incentive to make sure fundraising target is met.  Share

I’m doing it again in 2026!

Saturday 8th Mar I’ve now completed five rides for hands across the water and of course I tried to say no to myself but I know after meeting so many children this is something that is both important to me and I love sharing the journey to show you how your donation is making such a big change in lives children who otherwise may not have a future that would take for granted. So as soon as I’m back from this ride, I will continue training to be mentally and physically fit ready to ride again Share
