The past few months at Baan Home Hug have been buzzing with activity! From heartfelt celebrations to hands-on projects, our kids have enjoyed sharing in truly enriching experiences. You won’t want to miss all the highlights—read on!
Welcoming the Red23 Doing Good Ride – We had an absolute blast welcoming the incredible crew from the Red23 Doing Good Ride, a 5-day, 500 km journey from Bueng Kan to Yasothon that finished right here at Home Hug. Their ride wasn’t just a test of endurance; it was a powerful show of support, raising funds that go directly to helping our home thrive. Their visit was a big boost of energy and a reminder of the amazing support of our Hands family that keeps us all going strong! We also were excited to celebrate Khun Peter as he ran into Home Hug for his training as part of the Run to Remember, we love you, Khun Peter!
Teaching and Recreational Activities in Nong Khai – Mae Thiew and teacher Margaret had the privilege of joining activities at a school in Nong Khai province. They taught lessons in morals and English to the students and conducted recreational activities to engage the children. It was an opportunity to extend our mission of nurturing and educating beyond the walls of Home Hug.
Father’s Day Blessing Ceremony – Home Hug's Goody and Tangjai participated in a beautiful blessing ceremony in honour of Father’s Day. It was a heartwarming occasion, and their involvement added a special touch to the day’s celebrations.
Language and Digital Skills Development – Kuea took part in an exciting project aimed at promoting and improving language and digital skills. Through brainstorming and question-and-answer activities, the children explored new ways to enhance their abilities, setting the foundation for future learning.
Rice Planting and Community Cooking – In a display of teamwork and tradition, all the boys at Home Hug came together to plant rice in our paddy field. It was a day of hard work, but the children also found joy in preparing food together, making it a memorable experience of shared responsibility and unity.
Mother’s Day Activities with Khun Wai Wai – This year Mother’s Day was celebrated with a visit from Khun Wai Wai and her group. The day was filled with activities, including cooking with the older children, giving gifts, and playful moments in the ball house with the younger ones. It was a day of joy, connection, and love, as evidenced by the big smiles of our kids!
Looking Ahead – As we look to the future, we are currently in the early stages of planning for Khun Peter’s Run to Remember which will begin from Home Hug on the 1st of December. While still in the planning stages, we are excited to share this experience with our Hands family and the impact it will have on all of us.
For now, our focus remains on nurturing our children, fostering their growth, and building a strong, supportive community. Thank you for sharing in the love at Baan Home Hug.
