I am raising money to support the children of Hands Across the Water because I believe that all children deserve to build a future full of possibilities, opportunities and dreams - a life of choice, not chance.

Hands Across the Water [Hands] started as a charity in response to the Boxing Day Tsunami. Now we support 200+ children living in 7 homes and projects across Thailand.

The kids who come to live in a Hands home are there because they have no choice. This is often the result of one of three heartbreaking situations:

  • They have no known family to care for them
  • They have a family member who is known to them, but is unable to care for them
  • They are living in an unsafe environment and have been placed in our care by the police or government

Hands not only provides the life-saving necessities for the kids in our homes, they also support many families in an outreach program to help keep kids out of our homes.

Just as important as filling their bellies with healthy food and providing a safe bed to sleep in, with the support of amazing donors like you, the vision of Hands is to help these kids see the opportunities that lie before them, to see a life of choice.

My hope is that you will make the choice to join me in this experience and help me reach my personal fundraising goal. Please make a donation today to support these children and provide them with a better future.

Together we can truly make a difference - Donate now!

Gra’s ride for orphans

Thursday 12th Mar

Well, I’m not a strong rider of anything that doesn’t have a motor… but to help orphans in Thailand, I’m willing to ride 500 km in 5 days using nothing but my legs. 🥹

To be honest, this will be a real challenge for me. I’m not a cyclist, and there will definitely be moments where I question why I signed up for this. But that’s exactly the point.

This ride is meant to be physically tough. It’s meant to push us out of our comfort zones. In a very small way, the effort and discomfort reflect the challenges that many of these children face every single day : challenges that they didn’t choose and can’t simply stop when things get hard.

The children this ride supports have lost parents, stability, and the safety most of us take for granted. Through organisations working directly with orphaned and vulnerable children in Thailand, donations from this ride help provide things many of us consider basic: safe homes, education, food, and the chance to build a future.

For me, it’s 500 km and a few sore legs.
For them, your support can help change the course of an entire life.

If you’re able to contribute, any donation, big or small, genuinely makes a difference. And if nothing else, knowing people are supporting the cause will help push me up those hills when my legs are begging me to stop.

Thank you for supporting this ride and, more importantly, supporting these kids.
