A Milestone Birthday with a Purpose

As I approach a milestone birthday next year, I've been reflecting on how I want to celebrate this significant moment in my life. Birthdays often inspire us to look back on what we've accomplished, but for me, it's also about looking forward—thinking about how I can make a meaningful impact. 

That's why I've decided to take on the Hands Across the Water charity ride, a 500km cycling challenge across Thailand. 

This journey is not just a personal challenge but a commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A Personal Challenge with a Greater Purpose

Turning a milestone age is a big deal, and I wanted to mark it by doing something special, something that pushes me beyond my comfort zone. 

The idea of cycling 500km over five days is both exhilarating and daunting, especially since I’m not an experienced cyclist. But when I thought about how I could use this milestone to benefit others, I knew this was the right choice.

My passion for property development stems from a deep belief in the importance of having a safe, secure place to call home. Through my two businesses, Onassis Developments and Rising Star Developer, I’ve dedicated my career to creating homes and teaching others to do the same. 

Onassis Developments focuses on building quality homes through small-scale property development. 

Rising Star Developer takes it a step further by empowering others to create financial security for themselves and their families through property development.

Why Hands Across the Water?

When choosing a charity to support, Hands Across the Water stood out to me immediately. This organisation provides essential housing and care for children in Thailand who have been orphaned or abandoned. Their mission aligns perfectly with my values and the work I do here in Australia. While I help create homes locally, Hands Across the Water is making a profound impact on vulnerable children by giving them a safe place to live and the opportunity for a better future.

The Challenge Ahead

Riding 500km across five days will be one of the biggest physical and mental challenges I’ve ever faced. But I keep reminding myself that this challenge is nothing compared to the daily struggles of children who don’t have a roof over their heads or a family to support them. 

Every pedal stroke will be motivated by the thought of the difference we can make together.
