Recently I put my “brave” dress on, stepped out of my comfort zone and spoke at our International Women’s Day breakfast in Sydney.

I spoke about the strength and determination of young women like Am who fight each for the rights to inclusion of self and others.

I spoke about the resilience and wisdom of Mae Thiew who has woken up every day for the last 40 years advocating for the rights of her children to access free and available healthcare and public education, which they have been denied time and time again due to life long medical issues.

I shared how these two women have inspired me in the last 3 years to fight my own inner battles following our unsuccessful IVF journey, and the challenge I have set for myself to reclaim my power and my body after that journey.

I challenged the audience to draw inspiration from these two incredible women and take one small step to achieve something for themselves this year. Something outside their comfort zone.

Because growth comes from the uncomfortable.

And small steps.

So I will be doing my first 70.3 Ironman event in Port Macquarie in May. A small, but big step towards my goal of doing a full Ironman one day.

By supporting my challenge today, you'll be the cheer squad that I need to show up on the start line on Sunday 5th May.
