I am raising money to support the children of Hands Across the Water because I believe that all children deserve to build a future full of possibilities, opportunities and dreams - a life of choice, not chance.

Hands Across the Water [Hands] started as a charity in response to the Boxing Day Tsunami. Now we support 350+ children living in 7 homes and projects across Thailand.

The kids who come to live in a Hands home are there because they have no choice. This is often the result of one of three heartbreaking situations:

  • They have no known family to care for them
  • They have a family member who is known to them, but is unable to care for them
  • They are living in an unsafe environment and have been placed in our care by the police or government

Hands not only provides the life-saving necessities for the kids in our homes, they also support many families in an outreach program to help keep kids out of our homes.

Just as important as filling their bellies with healthy food and providing a safe bed to sleep in, with the support of amazing donors like you, the vision of Hands is to help these kids see the opportunities that lie before them, to see a life of choice.

My hope is that you will make the choice to join me in this experience and help me reach my personal fundraising goal. Please make a donation today to support these children and provide them with a better future.

Together we can truly make a difference - Donate now!

6 Pack Family Time

Friday 10th Mar
Its been a long 8 years since I ventured on the Hands across the water bike ride through Thailand and so much has happened in between then and now.
Next year I am partaking in the ride again, but this time with my family... all 6 of us. My wife was keen to experience the ride  and after discussing it with the 4 kids who are currently 18 17 17 15 they all wanted to be a part of the experience too.
Not only is this a great opportunity for them to give back in the form of fundraising for the children of Thailand but push their limits by riding 500km from Hua Hin just south of Bangkok to Khao Lak in the heat and conditions less desirable than they have been brought up in.
This will open their eyes to the need in the world first hand and hopefully give them a real sense of understanding of the privileged life they have but not only that but help build empathy and compassion to those in need around the world that are less fortunate.
We have been blessed to live in one of the most desirable locations in the world here in Queenstown NZ but it can often shelter us from the hardship and cruelty that others endure.
We look forward to bonding as a family and growing as individuals as we make a difference for someone who may never have the ability to repay us.
Thanks for your support and we will keep you updated on our adventures as we train for the grueling heat and bum rash in the name of compassion and love
