Riding in Rain, Heat, and Pure Heart — Why I’ll Keep Showing Up, Every Damn Year

Wednesday 18th Jun

rode 500km through the backroads of Thailand, soaked in tropical rain, sweat dripping down my spine, legs burning, and yet, I never once thought about giving up.

Not because I’m superhuman (I assure you, I’m not).

But because I knew who I was riding for.

This wasn’t just a fitness challenge. It was a mission.

Our group of riders? Business owners, professionals, and leaders, we weren’t here for a medal. We paid our own way, we donated extra, and we showed up with full hearts and fierce determination.

And when we reached the children’s homes, everything changed.

The kids ran toward us with open arms. Smiling. Laughing. Holding signs with our names.

They knew exactly who we were.

They knew we were riding for them.

And in those moments 😭 every drop of sweat, every hill, every hour of training felt absolutely worth it. 🥰

We cried. We hugged. We stood in silent awe.

Because this ride isn’t about us.

It’s about giving kids a life of choice, not chance.

This experience is burnt into my heart.

That’s why I’m doing it again.

And again.

And again.

💥 If you’ve ever wanted to do something that actually matters!!! Please donate.

Or better yet, come ride with us next year. 2026!!!

You’ll never be the same again 😉in the best possible way.

🚴‍♀️ 5 Days. 500 Kilometres. One Mission.

Wednesday 7th Aug

The ride begins 3rd of July, and this time, it’s deeply personal.

Last year, I completed this same 500km ride across Thailand with no training, just pure determination (and maybe a touch of madness).

I rode through searing heat, up hills that felt endless, and often completely alone, trailing behind the group with nothing but my thoughts.

But those quiet, painful kilometres gave me a gift… a chance to discover what I was truly capable of.

Mind over matter. Heart over hardship.

And the voice in my head kept saying:

“Amalia, you didn’t come this far just to come this far.”

So I finished. Exhausted. Proud. And most of all: filled with purpose.

Together, we raised funds that gave children in need a home, an education, medical care, and a future. Four of those children are now attending university this year. That’s the power of community.

This year, I’m riding again!!!

Riding in memory of my dear friend, Chris Fitzpatrick.

Chris was supposed to join us on this 2025 ride.

A passionate innovator in property, he was helping lead the expansion of OpenLot, always dreaming big and pushing boundaries.

More importantly, he was a devoted father to his beautiful daughter.

He was a true friend, you know; the kind you could always count on for a meaningful conversation, an encouraging word, or a great laugh. Ok a Lot of laughs! 😊

Shortly getting back home from the ride last year, I’ve received the heartbreaking news of Chris’s passing.

His last post on Facebook?

“Amalia Vincze is an amazing human being.

I have no doubt she will smash this.”

He was encouraging his friends to support my charity ride. … so I owe this to him!

Tthis ride is for Chris.

For his legacy of always doing good

For the children in Thailand left without family and parents.

In only a few weeks a small group of humans will jump on their bikes and take the long road cycling though heat and sun and sometimes heavy rain.

Unstoppable because we do it not for us but; others… the little and the big kids no longer having the love and care and a warm hug and kiss of a parent… and for all of us who believe in doing something meaningful with our time and money here.

If you’ve supported before: Thank You enormously!

If you’re here for the first time: welcome my dear friend!

Let’s make a difference, together.

Every dollar raised brings hope, stability, and opportunity to kids who need it most.

As Steve Jobs once said:

“Let’s put a dent in the universe.”

I believe we can!!!  One kilometre at a time!

With love kindness and belief

Amalia 💛
