Fundraising for a good cause!

This October/November, I'll be taking part in a charity bike ride across Thailand to raise funds for Hands Across the Water, an organisation that supports disadvantaged children and creates opportunities for them to build a better future.

Hands started as a charity in response to the Boxing Day Tsunami and now supports over 350 children living in 7 homes and projects across Thailand.

Sadly, the kids who come to live in a Hands home are there because they have no choice and is often due to one of three heartbreaking situations:

- They have no known family to care for them.
- Their known family is unable to care for them.
- They are living in an unsafe environment and have been placed into Hands care by the police or government.

Hands provides the life-saving necessities for the kids in their homes and supports many families through an outreach program to keep them together where possible.

With the support of donors, Hands' vision is to help these kids have the opportunities and the future that they deserve.
