14 Days to Prepare. 500 Brutal Kilometres. One Life-Changing Challenge. 🚴‍♀️🔥

Sometimes something touches your heart so deeply that you simply can’t walk away from it.

That’s exactly how I felt when I watched a video about Hands Across the Water and the incredible work they do supporting vulnerable children in Thailand.

So, with just two weeks’ notice, very little cycling training and perhaps a questionable amount of confidence, I’ve committed to taking on a 500km cycling challenge!

Hands Across the Water was established following the devastating Boxing Day tsunami and now supports more than 350 children across seven homes and projects in Thailand.

These are children who, through circumstances entirely beyond their control, have been left without the safety, stability and opportunities that every child deserves.

Some have no family to care for them. Others have families who simply cannot provide the care they need. Some have been rescued from unsafe environments.

No child gets to choose the circumstances they’re born into, but every child deserves the opportunity to choose their future.

That’s what this ride is about.

Over the 500 kilometres, there will undoubtedly be moments when my legs hurt, I’m exhausted and I question what on earth I’ve signed myself up for. But every difficult kilometre is temporary. The challenges these children face are not.

If I can put myself through a little discomfort to help give these children a better future, then every kilometre will be worth it.

And given I’ve allowed myself just 14 days to prepare, I think that alone deserves a donation! 😂

I’d be incredibly grateful for your support, no matter how big or small.

Together, we can help give these children something every child deserves a life of choice, not chance. 🤍

Please consider sponsoring my ride. Every dollar makes a difference.
