Boey's 500km Bike Ride fundraiser for Tiger & Hands Across the Water. I'm raising money because I believe that all children deserve to build a future full of possibilities, opportunities and dreams - a life of choice, not chance.

As you know I love a challenge so I've signed up again for the 7th time to do the 500km in 5 days charity bike ride in Thailand - that's 100km a day riding in a Sauna!
Previous years we battled the 34-52.7 degree heat, it was extremely hot and that was the real challenge, pushing through all the pain barriers physically and mentally.
On the previous years ride to support the 1st time riders, I made the effort to go back on every leg of the bike ride and did additional kms per day. On one of the days I pushed out 186+kms. Total for the week was around the 659.6kms pushing past my previous goal of 650kms. So Im pretty proud of that.
To help support the cause, I'm striving to raise over $15,000+ this year to support the cause and as a team we are looking to raise over $500,000 to help the kids.
We sponsor a young boy, Tiger in Thailand through this Australian Charity - Hands Across The Water.
Tiger was only 6 when his mum dropped him at the gates of the Orphanage and said if you don't take him, his step-father is going to end up beating him so badly he might not make it. Tiger was extremely ill and the first 6 years of his life were extremely traumatic. He now has some learning disabilities as a result of the abuse, but has plenty of swagger and personality :) he's a happy, healthy 16 year old that loves to play ball and thought riding on my scooter was the funniest thing he'd ever experienced. This child, like so many others in Thailand, deserves our help.
Having been over there and plenty of time with them, I can see first hand the difference this money makes to their lives...
To help support the cause, I'm striving to raise over $15,000+ this year to support the cause and as a team we are looking to raise over $500,000 to help the kids and that's where you come in.
I just need:
~ 3 businesses or individuals to donate $5,000 or
~ 6 businesses or individuals to donate $2,500 or
~ 12 businesses or individuals to donate $1,250 or
~ 30 businesses or individuals to donate $500 or
~ 60 businesses or individuals to donate $250 or
~ 120 businesses or individuals to donate $125 or
~ 300 businesses or individuals to donate $50 and we have hit the target to help support the kids.
Your money will go to the kids in Thailand like Tiger that are orphans. Hands Across The Water now support 400+ kids over 7 locations across northern, central and southern Thailand.
I will be paying $2850 for the bike ride registration + Flights + other expenses which will total over $4800. My legs and ass will be paying in the form of pain on the ride.
This year we raised over $325,000 with 50 bike riders which was a phenomenal effort, I successfully raised over $12,000. Some of the amazing team members have raised over $20,000 the last few years which inspired me to dig deep. Collectively over the last 8 years we have raised over $2,500,000.
If you donate this year, I will also look to get some singlets and t-shirts made with all the contributing businesses and brand logos all over it and a collage of head shots of all the donors to acknowledge your efforts in backing me and supporting the cause. There will be many social media shout outs as well, which looks good that your a socially responsible business helping give back.
Hands Across the Water is an Australian Registered Charity and has a TGR status for all donations over $2 which you can claim back on your TAX at EOFY time.
