In 2020 all of our Thailand experiences came to a grinding halt and we’re preparing to come back fighting in 2022 as borders re open and the road to recovery begins. With 70% of our fundraising wiped as a result of the pandemic, we have a lot of ground to cover and we’d love your help.
Whether you’re new to Hands or come back each year, Renovation Taskforce is an opportunity to dust off your tool belt, refine your painting skills, and share an experience with a crew of hard working good humans.
In 2022 we will be head back to PAMA House in Chantaburi to undertake renovations. This will coincide with the end of our Ride to Recover so if you’ve always wanted to do one of our rides this might be your opportunity to join both experiences.
You don’t need a specific skill set other than a love of hard work and a go get em attitude. There are only 2 spots available on the Renovation Taskforce team, so if you are considering joining us in 2022, don’t hesitate.

Travel to Bangkok
You will be responsible for your own flights, airport transfers and accommodation for the first night. Recommended Accommodation: Novotel Sukhumvit 20
Travel to Chantaburi.
We will arrange a bus transfer to PAMA House and the hotel where we will be staying for the week. This is a 3-4 hour bus transfer. Dinner at PAMA House.
Today we will commence our project work at PAMA House. Please follow the advice of the team leaders and home staff at all times.
Day 2 of the work project. The actual project will be scoped closer to our departure. You will be advised of the tasks when we arrive.
Day 3 of the work project.
Day 4 of the work project.
Final day of the work project followed by a celebration with the kids in the evening.
Transfer back to Bangkok in time for International flights home.
Fees and Fundraising
6 Nights Twin Share Accommodation
12th January – 17th of January 2022 inclusive
6 nights accommodation in a 3 star hotel
Breakfast, non alcoholic drinks, snacks and lunch at PAMA House daily. Two dinners are covered in your fee (alcohol not included). There will be options for group dinners that will be at your own expense. This is typically between $10 and $20 per person depending on location and alcohol. Daily transport to and from the work site

TOUR COST: AU$825*
AUD $825 plus your flights, transfers and first night accommodation in Bangkok
AUD $275 deposit to secure your spot. You can choose to pay in full or select the 3 month payment plan.
**Please note that the $275 deposit is non-refundable.
Taskforce Volunteers will need to arrive in Bangkok by 11th January 2022 and are responsible of their own accommodation in Bangkok. We recommend staying at Novotel Sukhumvit 20 as this will be the pick up point on 12th January.
Taskforce Volunteers will be able to fly back home on or after, the 18th January. If flying out on the 18th January from Bangkok, we suggest a late afternoon / evening flight to allow ample time for transfer back to Bangkok.
We appreciate that you are giving up your time and skills to come to Thailand and work on our renovation project. With the global pandemic having a severe impact on our funding, we are asking all volunteers to raise a minimum of $500 to cover the cost of the renovation project. We are often asked how people can donate to specific projects and this is a fantastic way for you to share your story and contribute even further to the work that is taking place on the ground.

What is the Cost ?
In addition to the tour costs you will need to arrange international flights to and from Bangkok, Thailand. To register you can either pay in full or choose the 6 month payment plan.
The cost of the project is AUD$825. In addition to the tour costs you will need to arrange international flights to and from Bangkok, airport transfers and your first night accommodation.
To participate in the project, it is a requirement to raise $500.
Cancellation greater than 2 months out from the experience: $275 + any costs already paid
Cancellation greater than 1 month out: 50% of total registration fee
Cancellation within 30 days of travelling: 100% of total registration fee
Is Fundraising Compulsory ?
Yes. By fundraising a minimum of $500 for your Renovation Taskforce experience, you provide 350 children in our care with access to basic necessities, healthcare and education. Importantly, you are providing them with a life of choice.
What is the best way to start my fundraising?
Getting started can be a bit daunting at first; we always say the first $1,000 is the hardest and then it gets easier. Below are our top 3 tips to get your fundraising dial off zero:
