Frequently Asked Questions

How can I make sure my dinner party is COVID-19 safe?

Expand

Please follow the advice from your government for specific restrictions around the number of guests and social distancing. In order to create a clean, safe, yet fun environment we also recommend the following:

  1. Ensure there’s hand soap and hand sanitiser available in your bathroom for guests. You could also have some hand sanitizer handy at the table or in the kitchen.
  2. Reconsider shared plates and give each person their own separate plate of food and serving utensils. If you have opted for a share style meal such as Thai, Italian, then we recommend serving from the kitchen and asking people to dish up their own meal.
  3. Allow plenty of room between people at the dinner table and in the area where you are hosting your meal.
  4. Tie different coloured ribbon around the stems of wine glasses to help people identify their own glass. You could have a bit of fun with this by creating personalised tags.
  5. Most importantly, if any of your guests are unwell and/or displaying flu like symptoms please ask them to stay home.

What do I do about organising dinner on the night?

Expand

You will receive a Menulog voucher as part of your dinner box. We recommend pre ordering your meal with your preferred time for delivery. We would also recommend ordering from the one restaurant so that you are not eating at separate times. Don’t forget to ask your guests if they have any dietary restrictions.

When there are any music performances, videos or speeches, please ensure that your microphone is on mute as this will interfere with the audio quality for everyone.

How do I access the entertainment and speeches on the night?

Expand

We will be hosting the event via Zoom. We recommend dialling in using your smart TV so that all of your guests can view and the sound quality is better than running through a laptop. A great internet connection would also be helpful.

What if I have a different number of guests?

Expand

You can purchase multiple boxes to make up your numbers. We have boxes available for 2, 5 and 10 people. We would recommend rounding up instead of rounding down to ensure that you cover all of your guests.

We’ve provided some breakdowns below for guidance:

25 guests - 2 x Tribe and 1 x Family

12 guests - 1 x Tribe and 1 x Couple

8 guests - 2 x Family (rounding up)

7 guests - 1 x Family and 1 x Couple

4 guests - 2 x Couple

As a host what do I actually have to do?

Expand

Aside from managing your guest list, you will need to prepare your dinner table or space for your guests. We will provide different items to help you decorate your table and we recommend doing this in the afternoon prior to their arrival so that you can sit back and relax on the night. We also recommend pre ordering your food so that you can focus on your guests and having a great time.
