Baan Home Hug: Yasothon

The kids and staff of Baan Home Hug Yasothon have been busy in recent months learning how to mould clay sculptures, practicing meditation and completing vocational training. They also enjoyed practicing to make desserts such as KanomKrok and pizzas as snacks!

The kids and staff have also been very active within the local community, helping local flood victims in Yasothon. They organised a group of activities puppet shows performances, dessert making, drawing, colouring and games.

The children are currently on school break, as are many of the the children around Australia. During the break they will be conducting service activities and sharing with the children in the Karen Hill Tribe in Chiang Mai. The Hill Tribes have experienced much difficultly in recent times and the kids are doing well organising cooking games, making snacks and playing a puppet theatre to entertain.

The kids are also looking forward to the arrival of their new English teacher this month!

Baan Home Hug: Surin

The kids and staff of Baan Home Hug Surin have been busy planting in the gardens recently, planting a whole range of organic vegetables in their kitchen gardens. vegetables. The kids have also gotten very creative practicing to bake sweets and other menus the kids have create themselves.

The kids at Surin worked in collaboration with the Yasothon home to support the wider community that were victim to recent floods.

There will be a lot of activity in November, as the annual Renovation Taskforce descends on Baan Home Hug Surin to undertake renovations and building a new facilities for the children, including a new kitchen! The children always enjoy the arrival of the Hands community into the homes and spend months preparing souvenirs to make their arrival and stay special.

As with the kids in Yasothon, the kids at Baan Home Hug Surin are also looking forward to the arrival of their new English teacher this month!
