Check out what the staff and children at The New Life Project in Kanchanaburi have been busy getting up to in the last few months.

This year, 26 adults from 19 families participated. Awards were presented to 55 students who received high grades in school or have been active volunteers at the centre.

Summer Novice Ordination Program Between April 1st and May 19th, ten boys ages 8 to 12 participated in the summer ordination at Wat Tha Sadet in Kanchanaburi. They were taught the basics of Buddhism and the practice of meditation.

Meanwhile, over at The New Life Project at Chumphon the boys are doing a great job with their Sport and Exercise Program

Through exercise children can build physical strength and improve their skills in various sports. Students engage in daily exercise activities from 5.30 to 6.30 and sports from 16.30 to 17.30. To maintain the quality of the curriculum, we have purchased new equipment to replace worn ones. Thanks to this curriculum, 5 of our own represented the NLP in district-level sports competitions and have won various awards - congratulations boys!

Recreational Activities One Sunday a month from 13.00-17.00, the leaders of the NLP take the children on a trip to Lamae Beach in Chumphon. The children have fun, quality time together through playing beach sports, swimming, and more.

As did the NLP in Kanchanaburi, NLP Chumphon participated in a Paying Respects Ceremony on June 23rd and 24th to provide children the opportunity to express gratitude to their teachers, guardians and benefactors. This year, 15 adults including teachers of the community and two families participated in the ceremony. Awards were presented to 28 children who received high grades in school or have been active volunteers at the centre.
